Berwick Barracks - Home to history and the arts, Berwick Barracks is the ideal place for a family day out.
The Maltings Berwick - the local theatre showing a wide variety of shows, including comedy, music, theatre, films etc.

The Barn at Beal - The Barn at Beal enjoys a spectacular location overlooking Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve (NNR), it is one of the country’s most important places for wildlife and natural features

 

Putton Mill - Established in 2002, this facility has a gym, group exercise centre, driving range and a childrens play area - Hurly Burly.

East Links Family Park - A family park with such activities as soft play, pedal tractors, toboggan run, haybarn, farm animals, bouncy castle, go-karting, giant maze, climbing walls and much much more - the perfect place for children !

 

Alnwick Castle - is one of the largest inhabited castles in England, and proudly known as 'The Windsor of the North'. Built as a medieval fortress, today it is home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland and their family. Famous more recently for being used in the Harry Potter movies.

 

Alnwick Gardens - There's so much to explore at The Alnwick Garden, including acres of fascinating plants, water sculptures, the infamous Poison Garden and one of the world's largest wooden tree houses, 364 days a year.

Whitehouse Farm - Fantastic fun on the farm, whatever the weather. So whatever your age come along and join in for a unique "hands on" experience.

 

 

 

Museum of Flight - One of the very few places left to have a real Concorde aeroplane you can actually go on board and sit on - as well as lots of other things connected with flight too.

 

Scottish Seabird Centre - Visit the award-winning five star Scottish Seabird Centre - amazing live cameras, boat trips, Gift Shop and Cafe - all in a stunning location, overlooking the sea and sandy beaches of North Berwick.
Southern Upland Way - A coast to coast walk from Stranraer to Cockburnspath, walking the whole route can take 20 days !

 

 

Sporting Clubs or Sporting activities in and around Berwick

 

Berwick Rangers Football Club - the local football team, and the only team in England who play their games in Scotland. Home games at the Shielfield Park stadium usually kick off at 3.00pm on a Saturday.

 

Berwick Bandits Speedway Club - the local speedway team, who race at the Shielfield Park stadium, the same place as the football team play. Home meetings are every Saturday from March - October and start at 7.00pm

 

 

Berwick Rugby Club - billed as England's most Northernly rugby club, but liket the football club the team plays in the Scottish Leagues. They run 3 main teams as well as 2 junior teams and home matches are played at their Scremerston ground on Saturdays. Kick off time can vary.

Berwick Cricket Club - The first team play in the Northumberland Premier League, whilst the second team play in the Alnwick and District League. Home matches at the Pier Field cricket ground take place on Saturdays.

Kelso Races - Kelso Races is the home of National Hunt racing in the Scottish Borders. Voted ‘Britain’s Friendliest Racecourse’ in a Sunday Times survey, Kelso Racecourse is the ideal place to visit for a first time race goer or a seasoned professional.

 

Newcastle Greyhounds - top class greyhound racing and an unforgettable evening for you and your friends. Racing takes place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and twice on Saturdays..

Magdalene Fields Golf Club - the cluib enjoys a cliff top setting with coastal views southwards to Holy Island and northwards to Scotland. The 18 hole course is parkland with a typical links layout set outside the Elizabethan Walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

 

Goswick Golf Club - a championship course in every sense of the word - it measures 6,803 yards from the medial tees, is rarely affected by the weather and is set in the most stunning Northumbrian coastal scenery.

The Hirsel Golf Club - The first and last course in Scotland, the home of golf, you could not wish for a friendlier or more picturesque introduction to the country or the game. The Hirsel was founded in 1948, which means it celebrated it's half century recently. Nestling on the beautiful and historic Scottish Borders on the outskirts of Coldstream.

 

Belford Golf Club - THE BELFORD is overlooked by the magnificent 18th century Belford Hall and boasts panoramic views over the North Sea nature reserve of Lindisfarne & Holy Island. Dozens of new trees have been added and 9 new tee boxes. Goflers wishing to play a full 18 holes will be able to play each hole from two different angles.
